Es war ein wundersch\u00f6nes wenngleich auch teilweise sehr hartes Arbeiten. In meiner Freizeit bin ich viel auf die Berge und in der Umgebung gewandert. Ich habe es in vollen Z\u00fcgen genossen und die Zeit bis Ende April verging wie im Flug.<\/p>\n
<\/a>...Winterlandschaft bei Gr\u00fcsch<\/p><\/div>\n
Wieder zur\u00fcck machten Raimund und ich Kassensturz und stellten fest, dass es wohl besser w\u00e4re, noch ein paar Monate Arbeit anzuh\u00e4ngen bevor es tats\u00e4chlich dann weitergehen sollte. Also was tun. Tja die Frage stellte ich auch Wolfgang, einem Freund von uns, mit welchem ich bei Grand Circle Travel gearbeitet hatte. Wolfgang arbeitete seit zwei Jahren bei einer anderen Firma und meinte nur, meld dich doch dort mal, die suchen Leute. So kam ich dann zu der Firma, f\u00fcr welche ich den gesamten Sommer \u00fcber gearbeitet habe. Dieses Mal nicht als Reiseleiterin sondern als Kreuzfahrtdirektorin. Bei meinem Vorstellungsgespr\u00e4ch in Wien sagte mein Chef nach nur f\u00fcnf Minuten zu mir: \u201eK\u00f6nnten Sie n\u00e4chste Woche in Russland auf einem unserer Schiffe, der MS Surikov anfangen?\u201c Ich, na klar!!
\nRussland, ich dorthin, Hammerm\u00e4ssig, einfach genial!<\/p>\n
<\/a>... Willkommen in Moskau<\/p><\/div>\n
Ohne Russischkenntnisse und Kenntnisse der Strecke ging es dann gleich die n\u00e4chste Woche nach Moskau. War das ein Gef\u00fchl! Komisch, erschreckend, aufregend und trotz allem wunderbar. Fast zwei Monate war ich dort, in denen ich das Land, die Menschen, die Sprache und die Lebensweise ein wenig kennenlernen durfte.<\/p>\n
<\/a>... Russisch-Karelien, ein Dorf unterwegs<\/p><\/div>\n
Mit Tr\u00e4nen in den Augen verlie\u00df ich dieses wunderbare Land. Doch wird dies sicher nicht mein letztes Mal in Russland gewesen sein, irgendwann werde ich meine Freunde \u2013 die meisten aus Rostov van Dom im S\u00fcden Russlands \u2013 dort wieder besuchen. Die Strecke zwischen Moskau und St. Petersburg auf der Wolga, Onegasee, Lagadosee und Neva kenne ich jetzt auf alle F\u00e4lle sehr gut.<\/p>\n
<\/a>... Freunde und Arbeitskollegen auf der MS Surikov<\/p><\/div>\n
Danach ging es dann kurz nach Pfreimd um Raimund wieder mal zu sehen bevor es nur eine Woche sp\u00e4ter wieder auf die MS Rembrandt ging, ein kleines Flu\u00dfkreuzfahrtschiff welches auf den Fl\u00fcssen Europas f\u00e4hrt. Diese Strecken kannte ich ja fast alle, da ich diese bei meiner alten Firma gefahren bin. Zweieinhalb Monate ohne Unterbrechung arbeitete ich auf der MS Rembrandt und habe es wirklich genossen. Die Arbeit machte mir sehr viel Spa\u00df, auch wenn der Arbeitstag im Durchschnitt 14 Stunden hatte.<\/p>\n

Da ich bis 2004 ausschlie\u00dflich mit amerikanischen G\u00e4sten gearbeitet habe war es sehr interessant f\u00fcr mich, nun mit deutschsprachigem Publikum zu arbeiten. Viele interessante Menschen habe ich kennengelernt und viele Erfahrungen f\u00fcr mich privat sowie auch beruflich gemacht.<\/p>\n
<\/a>... beim Kapit\u00e4nsdinner<\/p><\/div>\n
Zwischendurch hatte Raimund mal richtiggehend \u201eHeimweh\u201c nach Schottland bekommen. Da Wolfgang schon immer mal Schottland besuchen wollte und es bisher nur aus B\u00fcchern und den Fernsehen kannte, unternahmen beide mit Zelt und Rucksack einen Kurztrip dort hin. Seitdem ist auch Wolfgang von der keltischen Krankheit infiziert.<\/p>\n

Raimund hatte mittlerweile weitere Umbauarbeiten am VW-Bus sowie am Haus seiner Eltern get\u00e4tigt und schon alles f\u00fcr unsere Abreise nach<\/p>\n
S\u00dcDAMERIKA<\/strong><\/p>\n vorbereitet. Wer wei\u00df, vielleicht sehe ich unterwegs irgendwo das Frachtschiff, auf dem unser VW-Bus unterwegs ist. Eigentlich wollte Raimund mit dem Frachtschiff mitfahren. Da es nur wenige Kabinen an Bord gibt und diese alle schon ausgebucht waren, fliegt Raimund nun am 4. Januar nach Buenos Aires. Dort hoffen wir, dass wir alle drei unversehrt ankommen und uns wieder finden. Dann geht unser Leben in andere Welten und L\u00e4nder weiter und wir werden als erstes Richtung Feuerland fahren, da dort ja der Sommer schon im vollen Gange ist. For the winter season I did go to Switzerland to work in the hotelbusiness. ...\u201ePeter and Jutta\u201c<\/p><\/div>\n It was a wonderful but certainly as well quiet hard work. In my leisure time I walked up the mountains and in the surrounding. I did enjoy my time there surely and end of April came much to fast.<\/p>\n ...\u201eWinterwonderland in Gr\u00fcsch\u201c<\/p><\/div>\n Back again Raimund and I calculated and counted our money and realiezed it should be better to work a bit more to have more money on our back. Well what to do? ...\u201eWelcome to Moscow\u201c<\/p><\/div>\n Without knowing the Russian language or the tour itself in Russia I did fly over to Moscow. A strange feeling, adventure, chaotic but in the same time wonderful. Two month I stayed there in which I got to know Russia, the people, the language spokenwise and how the Russians are living.<\/p>\n ...\u201eRussian-Karelien, a village somewhere there\u201c<\/p><\/div>\n With tears in my eyes I left Russia. But I know for sure, this was not my last time in Russia, one time in the future I will visit all my friends \u2013 most of them are from Rostov van Dom in the South of Russia. The stretch between Moscow and St. Petersburg on the river Volga, Onegalake, Lagadolake and the river Neva I do know now perfectly well.<\/p>\n ...\u201eFriends and colleagues on the MS Surikov\u201c<\/p><\/div>\n After that, I did go back to Pfreimd to see Raimund for a short while, before I continued work on the MS Remrandt, which did sail on the waterways of Europe. This stretches I did know very well, since I did them already with my old company. Two and a half month I stayed on the MS Rembrandt and enjoyed it a lot. Work was great, even the workingdays were 14 hours in average.<\/p>\n ...\u201ewith the MS Rembrandt somewhere on the Mosell river<\/p><\/div>\n Till 2004 I just worked with American passengers, now with this new company it was my first time to work with German speaking passengers. That was very interesting for me. ...\u201eAt the Captains-dinner on one of the 7 days trips\u201c<\/p><\/div>\n Meanwhile Raimund felt \u201ehomesick\u201c to Scotland. Since Wolfgang always wanted to get to know Scotland and not just out of books and TV, Raimund and Wolfgang went on a shorttrip with tent over to Scotland. Wolfgang is now as well infected with the \u201cScotland-fever\u201d<\/p>\n ...\u201ewith the tent in the Highlands of Scotland\u201c<\/p><\/div>\n Other than been to Scotland, Raimund did more work on our bus and as well the house of his parents. Further on he arranged everything else which he could do for our further on journey to<\/p>\n South-America<\/strong><\/p>\n ecember Raimund will drive our bus to Hamburg, where then the bus is going into a container, which leaves Hamburg three days later for a 20 days seatrip to Buenos Aires \u2013 Argentinia. On 16th of December I will go via Lissabon to Buenos Aires. My boss gave me a one last work as tourguide for a trip on the MS Delphin to Buenos Aires. With about 30 passengers from Club 50 I will be on the ocean liner celebrating christmas and New Years eve.<\/p>\n Who knows, maybe on my way I will see the cargoship, on which Christopherus (our bus) does his way to Buenos Aires. Unfortunatly all by himself, since we did not get any accommodation for Raimund on the cargoship. That\u00b4s why Raimund will fly over on the 5th of January, same time when Christopherus and myself will arrive there. Well, our friends, now you know more about us again and you can already look forward to our 2nd part of journey. We are in the last part of preparing everything and certainly to refresh and learn more about the Spanish language.<\/p>\n We are already looking forward to our new adventure and hope you do as well!!<\/p>\n Hasta luego! \nAm 13. Dezember f\u00e4hrt er dann nach Hamburg zum Hafen wo unser VW-Bus im Container verladen wird. Drei Tage sp\u00e4ter geht das Frachtschiff samt unseren VW- Bus auf die 20-t\u00e4gige Seereise mit Zielhafen Buenos Aires \u2013 Argentinien.
\nBei mir geht\u2019s zur gleichen Zeit via Lissabon nach Buenos Aires. Mein Chef hat mir eine Reise als Reiseleitung anvertraut, durch die ich jetzt arbeitenderweise nach Buenos Aires \u00fcbersetze. Mit ca. 30 G\u00e4sten werde ich \u00fcber Weihnachten und Silvester auf der MS Delphin die Strecke Lissabon \u2013 Buenos Aires abschippern<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
\nSo Ihr Lieben, jetzt wisst Ihr wieder ein bisschen mehr und k\u00f6nnt Euch schon jetzt auf unsere neuen Erlebnisse freuen. Raimund und ich sind gerade endspurtm\u00e4\u00dfig alles am Vorbereiten und nat\u00fcrlich noch ein bisschen Spanisch lernen bzw. aufbessern.

\nWell it is long time ago, that we\u00b4ve been writing into our travel diary. But we have not been traveling the last year. We both were working, to make sure, once we are on the road, we don\u00b4t have to think from the first moment on about how to afford our travelling, since we\u00b4ve been the victim of robbery as you know. But now we continue our journey.<\/p>\n
\nAfter we have been back to Pfreimd, to Raimunds parents, I myself did work on different fairs, while Raimund did the necessary things on our bus and as well some construction work at the house of his parents.<\/p>\n
\nThe Hotel and Restaurant I worked, is a fantastic old patrician house, the couple which owns it, are meanwhile friends to me.
\nJutta from Austria, chef , and Peter from Switzerland, the \u201cAllrounder\u201d made work there to my adventure in their 16 points restaurant (18 points is the highest standard in Switzerland).<\/p>\n<\/a><\/a>
\nI did question this to a friend, Wolfgang, with whom I worked in my previous job with Grand Circle Travel. Wolfgang is working since two years for a different company and told me I should give them a call. That\u2019s how I came to the company which I worked all summer long. This time not as tourguide\/ programdirector but as cruisedirector. As I had the interview in Vienna, my new boss asked me wether I could work next week in Russia, on one of there ships, the MS Surikov. Jes sure I can!!

\nThen our easy going life will continue, first of all we will go on direction Feuerland, since there summertime is in the midst.<\/p>\n
